Understanding the Lights on Your Movistar Router
Learn how to interpret the LED lights on your Movistar router and what they indicate about your internet connection.

The lights on your router can be confusing, but understanding what they mean can help you troubleshoot issues with your internet connection. Movistar's routers have four LED indicators that emit different colors to indicate whether the router is functioning correctly or if there's a problem.
## The Phone Line Indicator
The phone line indicator is usually located on the left side of the router and is easily recognizable by its traditional phone icon. This indicator is trying to tell you the following:
| Indicator | Meaning | | --- | --- | | Blue steady | Everything is in order. Your voice line is working perfectly. | | Blue flashing | The device is in the process of connecting. This is the usual light you'll see just after turning on or restarting the router. | | Green steady | There's an active call at this precise moment. | | Light off or red | Indicates a service outage. While it's like this, you won't be able to make or receive calls. |
## The WiFi and WiFi Plus Indicator
You'll identify this indicator by the classic drawing of an antenna emitting waves. This indicator is the telltale sign of your wireless connection:
| Indicator | Meaning | | --- | --- | | Blue steady | You're good to go! Your two networks (both the standard 2.4 GHz and the high-speed 5 GHz) are operational and ready to use. | | Blue flashing | This means you've got the fast pairing (WPS) feature activated. It's a very useful function for connecting new devices without having to type in the password. | | Off | Your WiFi is disconnected. To get your wireless connection back, simply hold down the WPS button on the back for a few seconds. |
## The Internet Connection Indicator
This is the main indicator that confirms whether your router is receiving the correct signal from the street:
| Indicator | Meaning | | --- | --- | | Blue steady | You have access to the network and the connection is running smoothly. | | Blue flashing | The router is "talking" to Movistar's central unit to establish the connection (something completely normal when turning on the device). | | Off | You've lost access to the internet. | | Red steady | Alert for a possible internal error in the device, whether it's physical or programming-related. If restarting it doesn't solve the problem, it's best to contact Movistar's customer service. | | Red flashing | There's a direct issue with the signal coming through the fiber optic. In this scenario, it's best to ask for help from the technical service to have it checked. |
Understanding the lights on your router can help you troubleshoot issues with your internet connection and ensure that you're getting the best possible service from your Movistar router.
