Samsung has won several awards at the IFA 2026 Innovation Awards for its latest home appliances. The company's Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner and Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub were both recognized for their design and functionality.
The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner was a double winner. It received an award in the 'Best in Design' category and an honor in the 'Best in Home Appliances' category. Samsung states the unit's Grid Design helps it blend into modern interiors.
Award-Winning Air Conditioner Features
The air conditioner features three Motion Wings that create different airflow patterns. Its AI Motion Wind function uses a radar sensor to adjust airflow based on detected user movement and preferences.
Samsung also offers a connected feature called WindFree Wearable Good Sleep. This works with a compatible Galaxy wearable device. It uses body signals from the wearable to detect a user's sleep state and automatically adjusts the cooling.
Recognized Refrigerator Capabilities
The Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub also won in the 'Best in Design' category. It includes a large 32-inch display and connected kitchen features. One feature is AI Vision, which uses an internal camera to identify food items placed inside.
The refrigerator can track food expiration dates and suggest recipes via Samsung's SmartThings Food app. It also supports an Auto Open Door function. This allows users to open the door with a voice command or a simple touch when their hands are full.
The standard Bespoke AI Refrigerator received an honor in the 'Best in Home Appliances' category. Samsung designed it specifically for tight spaces. It requires only 4mm of clearance on each side and 20mm at the top.
This model uses a zero-clearance hinge, allowing its doors to open fully even in confined spaces. Thinner doors and SpaceMax technology are said to provide more interior room. For cooling, an AI Hybrid Cooling system combines a compressor with a Peltier element to improve efficiency.
The awards highlight Samsung's focus on integrating smart technology and space-saving design into its home appliance lineup. The IFA Innovation Awards are presented annually at the major consumer electronics trade show in Berlin.
