LG Electronics has introduced seven new home appliances at the IFA 2026 trade show in Berlin. The lineup emphasizes artificial intelligence, reduced energy consumption, and designs suited for compact European living spaces.
According to LG, the products respond to consumer research identifying energy efficiency, convenience, multifunctionality, and space savings as key purchasing factors. The showed appliances include a voice-controlled refrigerator, a highly efficient washing machine, and a new size of all-in-one laundry tower.
A Conversational Refrigerator and Efficient Laundry
The next-generation LG SIGNATURE refrigerator features voice recognition powered by a Large Language Model. Visitors at the booth can use natural speech to get guidance on storing ingredients. The appliance includes a 6.8-inch LCD display for AI-powered cooling management and an AI Fresh system that can pre-cool the interior up to two hours before a door is expected to open.
A new washing machine set for European launch this year uses up to 70 percent less energy than the minimum requirement for an A-grade rating. It is paired with a dryer that meets the latest A-grade standards. Both appliances use LG's Direct Drive Motor and Dual Inverter Heat Pump technology. The motor is certified by TÜV Rheinland for up to 30 years of operation. AI Wash and AI Dry functions automatically detect fabric types and adjust cycles.
Space-Conscious Kitchen and Laundry Solutions
LG is expanding its single-body washer-dryer lineup with a new 25-inch WashTower model. This size is positioned between existing 24-inch and 27-inch models and is tailored for European living spaces. The global WashTower lineup has sold over 3.2 million units. The new model features Inverter Direct Drive technology in both the washer and dryer.
For the kitchen, the new Fit & Max French-door refrigerator features a Zero Clearance design for a flush fit with cabinetry. It also has a 6.8-inch LCD display and a Full Convert Drawer for flexible storage. Its Dual FRESHConverter+ system offers independently controlled compartments with preset temperature modes for different foods. The appliance has won 2026 iF and Red Dot Design Awards.
Efficient Cleaning and Personal Care Appliances
The Fit & Max dishwasher includes a one-hour wash and dry cycle. Its QuadWash Pro system uses micro-bubbles to help clean, while Hybrid Air Dry improves air circulation. An AI SenseClean feature uses a digital turbidity sensor to detect soil levels and automatically adjust water temperature, cycle time, and detergent amount. Key models in the new lineup achieve an A-grade energy rating.
LG's first hair dryer, the AirDew model, uses patented Triple Airfluidics technology for high-velocity airflow. It features optimized temperature control and an AirGlide brush effect designed to retain moisture and minimize heat exposure. The company states the body is comparable in weight to a cup of coffee. It includes a Rotating Plug and magnetic nozzles for one-handed attachment.
A Touch-Free Kitchen Hood
The next-generation LG SIGNATURE downdraft hood captures smoke at the cooking surface. A built-in motion sensor allows for touch-free control of extraction power. LG says its minimalist front-glass design maintains a clean aesthetic, particularly suited for open-plan kitchens. The hood is designed for effective extraction with quiet operation.
The company states these products are part of its broader AI Home vision, integrating advanced technologies for more convenient and efficient living. The press release cites industry research from Grand View Research, Mordor Intelligence, and NIQ/GfK pointing to growing consumer interest in smart major domestic appliances.
